Well hello, wanderer. I’m Charlie Banks, your globe-trotting, adventure-addicted, slightly sassy CEO of Solo Malta. I’m also a long-time lover of solo travel, a champion of the confidently curious, and a firm believer that life is far too short for boring holidays and bossy group tours.

I left Cape Town at 18 with a backpack, big dreams, and absolutely no idea what I was doing — which, of course, is the best way to begin any great adventure. Since then, I’ve lived, worked, wandered, and occasionally danced my way across continents before finally settling in Malta… where the sunshine is plentiful and the coffee is strong enough to fuel my next big idea

Today, I use everything I’ve learned — the wins, the wobbles, and the wild detours — to help other independent souls design safe, luxurious solo trips that feel like a turning point, not just a holiday.
